Q: Do I need an appointment?
A: Appointments are needed for regular office visits and certain injections. Please call our office if you are unsure whether or not you need an appointment.

Q: What forms of payment are accepted?
A: We accept Visa, Mastercard, AMEX, Check, and Cash.

Q: Which insurances are accepted?
A: We accept most insurances, including but not limited to: Aetna, AARP, BCBS, CarePLus, Cigna, Humana, Medicare, Prestige, Sunshine Health, Tricare, United Healthcare, WellCare.

Q: How do I get refills of my medication?
A: When calling our office the Medical Assistant will check to see if you are due for a follow up visit. In most cases, the request is sent to the physician for approval. Once the request is approved, the medical assistant will fax the prescription to the pharmacy of your choice. Please remember that some prescription medications cannot be faxed. You will be notified when they are ready for you to pick up in the office.

Q: What does it mean to be "fasting" before tests?
A: You should have nothing to eat or drink at least six hours for most tests. Water and black coffee only. No creamer or sugar.

Q: What is the preparation for a dexa scan (bone density)?
A: There is no preparation. We ask that you wear pull on pants with no buckles, snaps, or zippers.

Q: What is the preparation for an ultrasound?
A: With all of the procedures we ask that you please refrain from wearing jewelry, lotions, powder, and perfume or cologne. For an abdominal, aorta, or renal (kidney) ultrasounds, you need to be fasting for at least 8 hours prior to your exam. For a pelvic ultrasound, you will need to drink approximately 32 oz. of water 30 minutes prior to your exam. For arterial and venous doppler (legs) we ask that you wear no panty hose. There is no preparation for Carotid, Echo, and Thyroid ultrasounds.
